KMSA POINTS and SCHEDULE UPDATE
11/16/2009.......The Kajun Mini Stock Association will end it's 2009 season with a non-points challenge race at the Possum Town Grand Prix scheduled for November 27 and 28 at Columbus Speedway.All KMSA competitors are urged to attend. The 2009 points season has officially ended and congrats goes out to Jennifer Shelton on her 2009 Kajun Mini Stock Association championship. The banquet will be held at a later announced time in January.
La. State Championship race at Baton Rouge Raceway is no longer a points race but all racers attending will be appreciated. This race was also changed from a 1 day event to a 2 day event.The winners purse will be $50 per car entered and the rest of the payout will also be based on car entry.The dates are now 10/16-Friday practice,10/17-18 Saturday and Sunday are race days.
9/18/2009.....Both the KMSA schedule and drivers points have been updated. The KMSA event at Pike County for 9/26/2009 has been cancelled and the La. State Championship at Baton Rouge on 10/16-17/2009 has been added.
8/23/2009.....David Knight in the #4 mustang just ran away with the heat race over a slim field of mini stocks at Pike County Speedway. The feature was a different story as Jennifer Shelton won it and showed why her #02 mustang has her leading the close points battle.The next event for the KMSA is undecided as of now. Points will be updated when i receive the info from the series director.
After a break in action for a few weeks, the dynamite small packages will be hitting the highbanks of Pike County Speedway this Saturday.There is a very close battle in the KMSA points with only 8 points seperating 1st and 2nd.
..... Current points are now updated and posted in the points section.Word from the series director is that Whynot Motorsports Park will in fact run another KMSA event this year.
Action for Kajun Mini Stock Association will move to Whynot Motorsports Park for a July 4th event.The KMSA is lucky to have David Knight racing in the series. David is a veteran racer who was given an opportunity to drive for someone and has really made the best of it over the last few races.He has driven multiple classes over the years including a super latemodel track championship at Pike County Speedway. David is only 1 of a very talented field of mini stock drivers slinging dirt in this series.

6/21/2009.....What a race with the #+1 of Herb Champagne jumping out to the early lead. That lead was not held long as the #4 of David Knight took the point and held it until half way in the race. The #T2 of Thomas Turbeville moved to the highside taking over the lead and never looked back with David Knight right at the back door at the checkered flag.
Points are updated. Baton Rouge Raceway is trying to build up a mini stock class and all cars are invited. Next scheduled event will be 6/6/2009 at South Ms. Speedway.
Weekend action for the KMSA found the series at Pike County Speedway. Although only 11 competitors signed in the racing action was intense. The checkered flag saw Jennifer Shelton take the victory followed by David Knight,Elvis Turbeville,Chance Mims,and Tim Drury rounding out the top 5. Remember the $750 to win mini stock special at Hattiesburg Motor Sports Park on Friday,May 15th will offer double show-up points for all KMSA competitors that attend the event.Series points will be updated as soon as i receive them from the officials.
The $750 to win non KMSA event at Hattiesburg on May 15th will be a double show-up points night for KMSA drivers. Thanks to HMSP for working with the KMSA on a date change. The KMSA urges all compeitors to please attend this event.
Please note that the next 2 KMSA events on 4/25/2009 at South Ms. Speedway and 5/9/2009 at Pike County Speedway will be "double" show up points for the competitors.
